FacilityWatch
Entwicklung eines autonomen Drohnensystems zur kontinuierlichen Inspektion von Gebäudefassaden

The FacilityWatch project is developing a fully autonomous drone system for the efficient inspection of building facades. By using a docking solution, the system remains on-site and can independently detect damage, dirt, and thermal bridges using artificial intelligence (AI). The system reduces inspection costs, conserves resources through optimized maintenance, and improves workplace safety by eliminating high-risk operations at great heights. BIBA is responsible for the sensor technology, laser-based obstacle detection, and dynamic flight route planning. In collaboration with IS Predict, the project is also implementing data protection-compliant image analysis and precise localization for complex urban areas without GPS reception.
